Coke Oven Level Sensor with Reflector
MWS-79RFM-CH-R

MWS-24RF-CH

COKE PRODUCTIVITY IMPROVED, UNAFFECTED BY HEAT, FLAMES OR VAPOR.

The MWS-79RFM-CH-R Coke Oven Level Sensor with Reflector was developed, first in the world, specifically for measuring the coal level in the coke oven. The sensor employs the FMCW measurement method and FFT signal processing and consists of a controller connected to an antenna via coaxial cable and a reflector. The system is installed on the charging car and upon completion of the feeding of coal, the sleeve will be lifted, the reflector will be moved into position above the feeding hole and the level will be measured. After measurement, the reflector will be returned to its resting position.

Features

  • Unaffected by adverse conditions
Milliwaves are unaffected by temperature, flames, vapor, airborne particles or dirt.
The reflector is positioned over the feeding hole only during the measurement process, reducing the build-up of coal powder on it. This allows the system to measure reliably without maintenance.
The milliwaves are unaffected by flames from the feeding hole.
  • High accuracy and reliability
Stable measurement even when the surface of the coal is sloped.
Employs the rotary milliwave technique in spite of the large frequency sweep: false measurements caused by double-reflected waves are eliminated through the use of rotary milliwaves.
Due to the high S/N ratio, the sensor provides stable measurement even when the reflection from the target [coal] is very weak.
The adaptation of 79Ghz high frequency enables the sensor to use a smaller size antenna and measure in small spaces.
±30 mm accuracy on the coal surface.
Utilizes filters which eliminate spurious signals.
  • High speed response time
Because the system has an update time of approx. 0.25sec., the charging of coal into the coke oven can be swiftly achieved with improved accuracy.
  • The operational state is shown on your personal computer
It displays an FFT spectrum, the received signal and various preset values.
The received signal, FFT spectrum and the measurement trend are continually displayed. This displayed data can be recorded and reviewed in real or accelerated time.
Use of the recording and reviewing capabilities allows the system parameters to be optimized offline.
The display indicates and the controller outputs the internal temperature and any abnormal conditions (i.e. a lowering of received signal power, rising temperature in the controller or communication failures).
  • Convenient built-in functions
A reference point and the required range are easily preset.
Compatible for use with a personal computer.
    Power supply range of 90 ~ 240V, 50/60Hz.
Communicates with a Personal Computer by RS-232C.
    4-20mA, analogue output.
RS-422 digital output terminals (distance, receiving power level, temperature and alarm).
  • Lightweight and compact
Portable (controller: approx. 6kg, antenna: approx. 2kg).
    Easy Installation.
  • Easy Maintenance
Easy maintenance because the reflector and the antenna can be installed in the open space.
